POETRY AND CHILDREN'S LITERATURE FROM KRYSTAL VOLNEY

 

KRYSTAL VOLNEY BOOKS 2010-

KV started writing both female and male poetry in categories such as fashion, romance, the environment and children's poetry in the year late 2010 initially as a hobby. The contemporary poet's character is floral. In the 21st century, this meant that one consisted of many petals and each petal told a different story of who she was. She saw tiger lily and hibiscus flowers as demonstrating what it meant to be a woman and a lady.

Volney is also the Author of children's book 'Dr. Zazzy Saves Christmas'.

She is an award-winning poet, former journalist and author of Cosmos and Spheres poetry book: (Best-selling Ebook and paperbacks 2011). Cosmos and Spheres was written to free the minds of readers from stressed situations and enable them to enjoy a family book of FASHION, ROMANCE, HUMOR, CHILDREN'S, NATURE and ENVIRONMENT poetry.
UNDERSTANDING COSMOS AND SPHERES- "The title of the book has a lot to do with how people live their lives. Cosmos connotes the universe and everything that exists anywhere. It also defines an orderly and harmonious system. Spheres connote a particular environment or walk of life. To me, the earth is somewhat like the solar system and different peoples like the planets in relation to the sun. This is of course is not a spiritual or religious theory. However I believe in God."-

" 'The Immaculate Hacker' poem represented a warning to those scientists who are advocating the unbridled integration of machines with humans. I may be absolutely wrong about this, but I felt that I was reading about the future of mankind and our world on a grander scale, if we did not use technology wisely; especially if technology was used for the advancement of a few to control the rest of humanity. One of my fears regarding trans-humanism is that after the machine integration, our world will become a massive interconnected network of controlled humans, which includes hackers and cyber punks. Beelzebub appeared to be the trans-human experiment gone astray, and Seraphim seemed to represent the tormented, rebellious human with some form of machine integration done against her will. I imagine that the seraphs in Seraphim are nanites programmed to try to control her. The hummingbirds, Squamata, Cantharidae and Staphylinidae represented artificial intelligence drones designed to perform specific functions. The plot line is suitably straightforward, yet not in the least bit banal. The story clearly reveals how a fundamentally good character can be trusted upon to improve people's lives. Furthermore, Dr. Zazzy is supportive when life doesn't follow the way many people desire it to, for example, the ultimate values in life being greater than just the value of winning. The longer term needs of friendship, plus humans' reliance on Nature, especially as the dark hours of winter close in, will be recognised by people of all ages, as will the appreciation of art represented both in the book, and by the book.
